When using pixel fonts, always use them in a horizontal or vertical direction and not diagonally, as they will be unreadable. We do not recommend using other fonts, as they will quickly become unreadable on knitted products.
You can also add handwritten text to your digital template. Preferably use handwritten text for larger texts, for a more artistic look. Make sure your writing lines are at least 2px thick and your handwritten text is at least 30px high. This way the text is readable on your knitted product. The readability also depends on how clear your handwriting is.
For digital design with pixel fonts we recommend Adobe Photoshop, ideal for pixel drawings. A similar drawing app can also be used.
An important step in creating your digital design is to adjust the design for shrinkage of knits during production. How to make this adjustment is explained in the instructions in the digital template packages.
We never scale the text because in many cases the letters scale unevenly and the text can become unreadable. You can expect the proportions of your final design with text to be about 10% shorter in length, but the text will still be well proportioned and readable.
